This direction focuses on the research of corporate governance and strategy which is based on modern business theory. Currently, it pays more attention to the following research fields: The nature and functions of business; Corporate Governance based on principal-agent theory and Stakeholder theory; Strategy Management based on Regional Governance; Competitive Strategy based on Industrial Organization; State-owned capital management and state-owned enterprise governance; Comprehensive evaluation of business performance; The growth of entrepreneurs and strategic transformation of Zhejiang businessmen in the economic transition.
2. Human Resources and Organization Management

This area focuses on the research of organizational behavior in China, human resources and business management. Currently, it focuses on the following research fields: Corporate entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial theory; Employee relationship management and organizational justice which is based on social exchange; Organizational ethical decision-making and the influencing factors in business environment; Team behavior and knowledge management theory; Strategic human resource management.
3. Marketing and Commercial Management.

This area focuses on the research of marketing theory and commercial management in manufacturing and service enterprises, as well as marketing and commercial model innovation promotion. Currently, it includes the following research fields: Retail enterprise commercial model innovation; R&D organization, implementationand policies of service enterprise; Service management strategy and marketing; Customer behavior and customer knowledge management; Marketing and management in small and medium-sized service enterprises.
4. E-commerce and Logistics Optimization.

This area focuses on the following research fields: First, enterprise information management and virtual enterprises construction in network environment, including theory and implementation techniques of enterprise resource planning (ERP), supply chain management (SCM), customer relationship management (CRM). Second, corporate decision-making optimization theory and implementation techniques, including theory and implementation of decision support systems (DSS), data warehousing and data mining ,as well as information extraction and analysis. 1. Technology Innovation Management
Doctoral supervisor: Prof. Sheng Ya
This field involves not only (enterprise) technological innovation management and high-tech product marketing from the micro-level, but also the (industry) technological innovation, technology transfer and technology diffusion from the macro-level.Using the theories and methods of management, economics, sociology, we start from identifying and solving practical problems by way of normative case study and quantitative analysis, ultimately to the application of strategies and policies.Currently, we pay our attention to the following research fields: Technological innovation management in perspective of stakeholder; System innovation of complex products; Technological innovation diffusion and high-tech product marketing; Commercial model innovation, etc.
2. Service Innovation and Policy.
Doctoral supervisor: Prof. Li Jinghua
This field focuses on the research of R&D and innovation of service enterprise, as well as regional and industrial policies in promoting innovation and diffusion of service enterprise. The theories and methods of management, economics, and sociology theories are applied to carry out the case study, comparative study and evolution study. Currently, it includes the following research fields: R & D organization of service enterprise; Commercial model innovationand innovation policy in the service enterprises, etc. The research extract theories from the practices in knowledge-intensive services and producer servicesincluding financial industry, retailing and telecom industry on the background of interactions between manufacturing and service industry in Zhejiang province.
3. Knowledge Innovation and Management

This field focuses on how Chinese enterprises which is using knowledge innovation and management realize the great-leap-forward development and gain International competitiveness by virtue of "advantage of backwardness" on the background of economic globalization. The features of knowledge innovation and management research include: breaking through the limitation of exited research perspective and methodology, integrating innovation and knowledge management with the intellectual property theory, and examining the mainstream innovation and knowledge management theory from the perspective of multi-level, multidisciplinary and multi-scenario. In addition, some suggestions were put forward to be suitable for the practice in China on the ground of profound theoretical research.

This area focuses on the theories and methods of enterprise management, corporate governance and corporate performance evaluation as well as production operating management. It emphasizes combining theory with business practice.

Combining theory with practice, this area closely follows the core ideas, concepts and trends of strategy management theory. At the same time it pays more attention to the practice of Chinese enterprises in environment of global competition. It focus on identifying and developing entrepreneursí» strategic management ability and core competence, and carrying out the appropriate developing strategy according to the changes in internal and external environment to maintain competitive edge.
3. Marketing Management
This area focuseson new ideas and methods of modern marketing as well as recent theories of service marketing, non-profit organizations marketing and network marketing. The main goal is to train specialized talents in marketing for large enterprises in domestic and overseas, as well as higher-level research institutes.
4. Human Resources Management
This area focuses on the research of entrepreneurs, leadership, decision-making and learning teams. Theareas of entrepreneurs and subjectivehuman resources management take the lead in China. This area focuses on the theories and methods in technological innovation management and engineering innovation management at the macro and micro level, as well as interdisciplinary research of technological innovation, engineering innovation in theories and methods of technological economics, engineering management and systems science.
2. Technology and Service Innovation
This area focuses on the research of technological innovation and technology diffusion, such as the policy and industrialization for the technological innovation, diffusing effect of technological innovation, as well as frontierresearch of services innovation, services product design and development, services operation management, etc.
3. Investment Decision and Evaluation
This area focuses on the following researches: First, project investment decision-making and evaluation. According to the characteristics of the project investment, the theories and methods of investment decision and performance evaluation are carried out, as well as social evaluation to investment project. It also investigates how to apply traditional theories and methods to practical investment and decision-making process in a better way. Secondly, venture investment decision-making and risk assessment. We systematically examine the theories, methods and applications of venture investment decision-making and evaluation based on its characteristics. The third is the research of investment theories and applications in course of High-tech engineering and industrializing.
